Degen NFL Contest 2026 — How It Works
The gist: Each week, you pick 5 games against the spread.
The standings are determined by winning percentage, and pushes are ignored
(i.e., Win % = Wins / (Wins + Losses)).
Making picks
- Go to My Picks, choose the week, and tap the team you think will cover the spread. Tap again to unselect.
- You must pick 5 games each week. The system does not “force” you to, but if you pick fewer than five in a complete week, your missing picks become losses.
- Each pick locks at that game's kickoff. You can keep adding or changing picks right up until kickoff; after a game kicks off, any pick on that game is final.
- You’ll get an email receipt of your picks after you submit. If you don’t get it, check your spam — but you can always see your picks on the site.
- The dropdown menu on the My Picks tab lets you make picks for any future week if you choose to. You can always change them later.
Scoring & standings
- Each graded pick is a Win ✅, Loss ❌, or Push ➖.
- The Results page shows every player's record and all picks, color-coded, plus season standings ranked by win %.
When the lines are set
- Spreads lock at noon ET Wednesday for every game that kicks off before Saturday (all Thursday and Friday games).
- Spreads lock at noon ET Friday for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday games.
- Once locked, the spread doesn't move regardless of what the book does (we use FanDuel lines).
Picks stay private until kickoff
- Only you can see an individual pick of yours until that game kicks off. After kickoff, the pick is visible to all players.
Getting in
- Register with your name, email, and a password. An admin approves new players, and you’ll get an email once you’re approved — then just sign in and start picking.
